(I climbed the stairs and noticed that my building got new floor signs in the stairwells and also realized how many words you can make by adding “B” and the floor # (like that gameshow Bumper Stumpers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bumper_Stumpers ). Did I miss any? How about, “Don’t stop B11ing”? … OK… that was a stretch…)

The swans are back in the river!!
(They get taken out for the winter.)
I went to see them today.
I’m not sure why I’m so taken with them but I’m certainly under their spell.

Asnes XC wooden skis: my best purchase at this year’s Great Glebe Garage Sale (which I’ve taken to calling “The Glob Sale” because it is easier to say and better describes the crush of humanity on display). $10 (including poles)!!
They are long enough for my husband… which means that I will get to use the Gresshoppas next year (he used them this year)! Stoked!
